Privacy policy

VeganHey ("VeganHey"), company number 559163-8027, (refferred to as "we", "us", "our"), take your data protection rights and our legal obligations seriously. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how your personal data is collected, prossesed and protected when you visit and/or make a purchase from veganhey.com ("Website"). Please read this policy carefully.


1. Personal data we may collect from you

Providing your personal data to us (in particular, your personal details, your email, your address, your credit/debit card numbers and bank code and your telephone number) is necessary for processing your order for the purchase of products on the Website, supplying other services provided on the Website upon your request, or when your personal data is needed to fulfil obligations required by law or regulations. The refusal to provide us with any personal data necessary for performing the above purposes may consequently prevent us from processing your order for the purchase of products sold on the Website or fulfilling obligations required by law and other regulations. Therefore, failure to provide personal data may constitute, in some cases, a legitimate and justified reason for not processing your order for the purchase of products sold on the Website or not providing the Website’s services.

By using the Website, you ("the visitor") agree to allow third parties to process your IP address, in order to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. You also agree to have that currency stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie which gets automatically removed when you close your browser). We do this in order for the selected currency to remain selected and consistent when browsing our website so that the prices can convert to your local currency.


2. Minimum age.

Protecting the safety and privacy of children is very important to us. We will not knowingly collect or use personal data from anyone under the age of thirteen (13) years, or any other age limit set out by the law of his/her country of residence. By registering on the Website, you confirm that you have reached the age of majority in your country of residence.


3. Use Made of Your Personal Data

Whenever we process your personal data, we do so on the basis of a lawful "justification" (or legal basis) for processing. In the majority of cases, we use your personal data to fulfill any orders placed through the Website (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). We will also respond to requests for personal data where required to do so by law, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, request from a regulator or any other legal process served on us.

We place great importance on the security of all personal data associated with our users. We have adopted security measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. When you place an order through the Website, we will maintain your order information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted.

Right to access 

You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold on you at any time. You can contact VeganHey that will provide you with your personal data via e-mail.

Right to portability

Whenever we process your personal data, by automated means based on your consent or based on an agreement, you have the right to get a copy of your data transferred to you or to another party. This only includes the personal data you have submitted to us.

Right to rectification 

You have the right to request rectification of your personal data if they are incorrect, including the right to have incomplete personal data completed. 

Right to erasure

You have the right to erase any personal data processed by VeganHey at any time - except for the following situations:
- you have an ongoing matter with Customer Service;
- you have an open order which has not yet been shipped or partially shipped:
- you have an unsettled debt with VeganHey, regardless of the payment method;
- if you are suspected or have misused our services within the last four years;
- if you have made any purchase, we will keep your personal data in connection to your transaction for bookkeeping rules

Your right to object to processing based on legitimate interest 

You have the right to object to processing of your personal data that is based on our legitimate interest. VeganHey will not continue to process the personal data unless we can demonstrate a legitimate ground for the process which overrides your interest and rights or due to legal claims.

Your right to object to direct marketing

You have the right to object to direct marketing, including profiling analysis made for direct marketing purposes.

Right to restriction

You have the right to request that VeganHey restricts the process of your personal data under the following circumstances:
- if you object to a processing based VeganHey legitimate interest, VeganHey shall restrict all processing of such data pending the verification of the legitimate interest;
- if you have claim that your personal data is incorrect, VeganHey must restrict all processing of such data pending the verification of the accuracy of the personal data;
- if the processing is unlawful you can oppose the erasure of personal data and instead request the restriction of the use of your personal data instead;
- If VeganHey no longer needs the personal data but it is required for you to make of defending legal claims.

Please note that we may request proof of identity, and we reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any case within the applicable timeframes.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Website), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States. 


8. Changes to this Policy.

We may occasionally update this Policy, for example, to comply with new requirements imposed by the applicable laws or technical requirements. We will post the updated Policy on the Website. We may also notify you in case of material changes and seek your consent to those changes, where required by applicable law. You are thus encouraged to periodically review this page.
